Creativity Test: NEO PI-R (Openness section) (Costa & McRae, 1992)

The NEO is a 240 item personality test that provides information on five key components:  Neuroticism, Extraversion/Introversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness.  The Openness component is employed to evaluate creativity.

The Openness component of the NEO contains 45 items comprised of questions dealing with

  1. Fantasy,
  2. Aesthetics,
  3. Feelings,
  4. Actions,
  5. Ideas, and
  6. Values

Administration

To administer the NEO you must have completed an advanced level university course in psychological testing or assessment
