MOOCs and Open Education is an exciting and promising new edited collection about massive open online courses (MOOC) and open educational resources. Learning technology has rapidly developed in terms of interactivity and the capacity to reach humans in nations all around the world since the emergence of the Internet. The transformative technological impact of the Internet allows potent kinds of communication and interaction which are essential for technology-enhanced learning. There are scarcely any trends in education over the past half-century that can match the sudden arrival of these massive open online courses.
