MOOCs and Open Education is an interesting and promising new book relating to massive open online courses and open educational resources (OER). Elearning has quickly progressed in terms of interactivity and the capacity to reach students in nations all around the world since the emergence of the Internet. The transformational technological impact of the World Wide Web allows forms of communication and interaction which are essential for technology-enhanced learning. There are few trends in online education over the past few decades that can match the sudden arrival of these massive open online courses. We can no longer cover massively open online courses with one definition because there are many different categories of MOOC classes. Some MOOC classes are based on prerecorded video seminars plus facilitated interaction or discussion forums. Some MOOCs are an effort to meet global increases in the demand for erudition and distance learning. Massively open online courses are certainly a powerful change agent influencing digital education technology today.

MOOCs and Open Education considers the depth and nature of changes which include openness, faculty professional development, quality assurance, student success, and corporate learning.
