MOOCs and Open Education is an exciting and promising edited collection pertaining to massively open online courses (MOOC) and open educational resources (OER). Blended learning technology has swiftly developed in terms of interactivity and the ability to reach learners in all parts of the world since the emergence of the Internet. The second part of this book is about “Open Education Opportunities Now and On the Horizon” and includes Chapter #4 by Gerard L. Hanley. This book includes Chapter #7 by Markus Deimann, Alexander Lipka, and Theo Bastiaens. This book is about “Thoughts on the Quality of MOOCs and OER” and includes Chapter #10 by Karen Swan, Scott Day, Leonard Bogle, and Traci van Prooyen. The fifth part of this book is about “Innovative Courses, Programs, and Models of Instruction” and includes Chapter #13 which is titled “Unbundling Higher Education and the Georgia Tech Online M.S. in Computer Science: A Chronicle”.
