MOOCs and Open Education is a significant and promising book pertaining to massive open online courses (MOOCs) and open education resources (OER). Elearning has rapidly grown in terms of interactivity and the opportunity to reach humans all over the world since the emergence of the Internet. The transformational technological influence of the World Wide Web allows powerful types of communication and interaction which are essential for distance learning. There are hardly any trends in distance learning technology over the past few decades that can match the sudden arrival of these MOOC classes. It is now impossible to cover MOOCs with one definition because there are many different categories of MOOC courses. Some massive open online courses are based on prerecorded video workshops plus facilitated interaction or discussion forums. Some MOOC courses are a supply-side effort to meet increases in the demand for instruction and online learning. Massively open online courses are plainly becoming a relevant catalyst for innovations in online learning technology.
